Legaliam – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Legaliam (“Legaliam,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access and use of the Legaliam mobile application, website, services, AI-generated content, consultations, and any related tools (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using Legaliam, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. About Legaliam

Legaliam is an AI-powered legal information and document assistance platform designed to help users understand general legal concepts, generate draft documents, review uploaded materials, and connect with independent third-party legal professionals for consultations where available.

Legaliam is not a law firm, does not provide legal services, and is not a substitute for a licensed attorney.

2. No Legal Advice; No Attorney–Client Relationship

All information, content, responses, templates, documents, summaries, and materials provided through Legaliam are offered for general informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice.

Use of Legaliam does not create an attorney–client relationship between you and Legaliam, nor between you and any AI-generated output.

If you choose to consult or engage with a third-party lawyer through the platform, any attorney–client relationship formed is solely between you and that lawyer, governed by a separate agreement between those parties. Legaliam is not a party to that relationship.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Legaliam uses artificial intelligence to provide, among other things:

• General legal information

• Draft legal templates

• Explanatory summaries

• Document analysis

• Suggested edits

You acknowledge and agree that AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate for your specific circumstances.

By using the Services, you agree that:

• You will not rely solely on AI-generated content for legal decisions

• You will consult a licensed attorney for advice on specific legal matters

• You understand AI systems may generate incorrect, misleading, or harmful information

• Legaliam is not responsible or liable for actions taken based on AI outputs

4. Third-Party Legal Professionals

Legaliam may allow users to connect with independent lawyers or legal professionals (“Consultants”).

You understand and agree that:

• Consultants are not employees, contractors, or agents of Legaliam

• Legaliam does not verify, endorse, or guarantee their credentials, competence, quality, or advice

• Legaliam does not control or supervise legal services provided by Consultants

• Any fees, services, or representation are handled directly between you and the Consultant

• Legaliam is not responsible for disputes, outcomes, negligence, or omissions involving Consultants

You release Legaliam from any claims arising from your interactions with Consultants.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful purposes

• Upload documents containing illegal, offensive, or harmful content

• Attempt to reverse engineer, misuse, or exploit the platform

• Represent AI-generated content as professional legal advice

You affirm that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

6. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of forming a binding agreement to use Legaliam.

7. Account Registration

Legaliam uses Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for authentication.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account

• Preventing unauthorized access

• All activity occurring under your account

Legaliam is not liable for unauthorized account use.

8. Subscription Plans & Payments

Legaliam may offer free, basic, and premium subscription plans.

By subscribing, you agree that:

• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law

• Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled

• Pricing and features may change with notice

• Non-payment may result in suspension or termination

9. Document Generation & Uploads

Users may generate or upload documents through the platform.

You acknowledge that:

• Legaliam does not guarantee legal validity or enforceability of documents

• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all documents

• Uploaded content must not violate intellectual property or privacy rights

Legaliam may remove content at its discretion.

10. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, algorithms, templates, logos, and platform content are owned by Legaliam.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only.

Unauthorized copying, resale, or exploitation is prohibited.

11. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent AI outputs as legal advice

• Use Legaliam to prepare or file litigation documents

• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise security

• Use the Services in a manner that harms Legaliam or others

Violations may result in immediate termination.

12. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”

Legaliam makes no warranties regarding:

• Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content

• Availability or uptime of the platform

• Outcomes from use of the Services or consultations

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legaliam disclaims all express or implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legaliam shall not be liable for:

• Damages arising from use or inability to use the Services

• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content

• Issues arising from third-party lawyer consultations

• Loss of data, profits, reputation, or opportunities

If liability cannot be excluded, Legaliam’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid in the past 12 months or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Legaliam harmless from any claims arising from:

• Your use of the Services

• Reliance on AI-generated content

• Interactions with Consultants

• Violation of these Terms or third-party rights

15. Termination

Legaliam may suspend or terminate access at any time for misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Services at any time.

16. Changes to Terms

Legaliam may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
